Kimberly Wedding Speech
Father Bride speech
Introdution
I am the very proud father of the bride.
First off, I‘d like to thank all of you beautiful people for being here tonight – Kimberly and Simon are truly blessed to have such a great group of friends and family and for anyone who had to take the day off work today to be here.
Special thank you to those who traveled from faraway places such as Vancouver, California, and Portland.
Thank you everybody for coming out here for their big day
Greater story
Kimberly, you look absolutely beautiful tonight.
You may be surprised that Kimberly was quite the athlete.
She is an active girl who loves hiking and running.
I wasn’t sure if this would happen as far as Kimberly was quite the challenge when she was young.
I remember back when she was in her late teens, or early twenties, she participated in the BMO Vancouver Marathon.
Her mom and I went to go see her run. Her mom cheered loudly when she saw her reaching the finish line. It was a very long distance – she ran 42.2 km.
Despite problems and struggles on the track, she persevered and didn't give up.
She also took part in a triathlon to challenge herself too.
Your mother and I can’t begin to tell you just how proud and happy we are for you;
you’ve become such a talented, and beautiful young lady, inside and out.
A turning point
I am so glad we were able to come all this way to see you today.
You’ve grown to become such an amazing person.
I have to give a lot of credit to my wife, her mom, she had a lot of patience and wisdom for her.
Kimberly, you are marrying into a great family.
Simon, we love you and we are glad that you are part of our family and to have you as a son-in-law.
When your daughter gets married, you don’t lose a daughter, you gain a son, so Simon I am looking forward to hanging out when you get back from your honeymoon.
I’ve put a little list of things we can do together: cut the lawn, rake leaves, clean gutters, and wash windows.
And if you come around Christmas, you can help me shovel the snow too!
Conclusion
Hopefully, with the cheerful, friendly and outgoing personality of the bride and the handsome, politeness and elegance of the groom, they will build a wonderful, warm and happy family.
Thank you slash toast
Let’s raise glasses and toast to a long, happy and blissful marriage.
Kimberly and Simon, may your life be filled with joy, happiness, laughter, and love, and may you always continue to respect and confide in each other. We are so very happy and very proud of the both of you and wish you the best.
Congratulations!
