Celebrate Canada Day

By taking part in Canadian activities, the Vietnamese boat people integrated well into Canadian society. Through this integration they were able to contribute to the country’s political, cultural, and sporting life. Unlike their parents, the children of the Vietnamese boat people are not able to identify with their past being raised in Canada alongside second and third-generation Canadians. These children are proud to be Canadian.
