Watching the war in Ukraine reminds me of my homeland Vietnam that also went through war. It lasted for more than 20 years, causing millions of deaths. The country was devastated. The people were miserable because of the expansion of the Communist empire. The communists wanted to dominate Indochina and invade Vietnam under the help of Communist China and Russia who provided weapons and food. They destroyed cities, schools, and hospitals and massacred many people. The communists bombed schools and killed an estimate of 2,800 to 6,000 civilians and prisoners of war. Victims included women, men, children, and infants .
At the time, the Vietnamese government requested the U.S. government for $722 million towards emergency aid to protect South Vietnam but the U.S. refused. America, more specifically, the Democratic Party, and the anti-war groups led by the misguided media, abandoned Vietnam. The Democratic Party alone cannot afford to intimidate the Republican Party to abandon Vietnam because of the association of the crafty media and anti-war protesters.
The American media misrepresents the truth, leading the public opinion and causing the war in South Vietnam to lose its meaning. The media had created a false narrative to the American people about the Vietnam War. The American Democratic Party is also colluding with the media to dominate American politics. Today's media is not honest but the American people have learned through history to see past its lies.
Today, the Ukraine is receiving $6.9 billion in aid. The Democratic Party is currently the majority member in the House of Representatives. When Vietnam asked for help to save the refugees, there were two Democratic congressmen who objected and also assured that no Vietnamese refugees would enter the U.S.

American actress Jane Fonda had to apologize after she vocally supported communists in Vietnam and viewed them as heroic. 2004 Democratic Presidential candidate John Kerry also claimed he lost the 2004 election to George W. Bush because of the effects of the Vietnam War. He belonged to the anti-war group, which mobilizes protest.
America's abandonment of Vietnam has made the U.S. lose credibility with the world. Many Asian countries are currently skeptical of America's promises. These countries are striving harder to be self-reliant and no longer dependent on the United States. Currently, countries in South East Asia hate China because China illegally drew a nine-dash line, where they are aiming to encroach on the entire South East Asian region. However, these countries do not want to associate with the U.S., a lesson learned after America abandoned its ally Vietnam in 1975.
